1. Roles & responsibilities

The platform supports multiple roles: Authenticators, Watch Owners, and General Users (Viewers). Each role has different permissions and responsibilities.

• Authenticators are responsible for the accuracy of the technical and identification data they submit.
• Owners are responsible for maintaining the security of their login credentials and release actions.
• Viewers must use temporary access codes responsibly and may not attempt to circumvent access restrictions.

2. Authentication data & limitations

The Watch Seal provides a structured system for storing authentication data and ownership history. However, the underlying physical item remains outside of our direct control.

• The platform does not guarantee future condition of the item.
• All technical findings and opinions are provided by independent authenticators.
• The Watch Seal is not liable for misstatements, omissions, or mistakes made by authenticators or owners.

3. Ownership status & release

The “Release” action allows an owner to mark a watch as no longer owned. This is a security-sensitive operation protected by re-authentication and SMS verification.

• Once released, a watch is removed from the owner’s active list and cannot be reclaimed through the app alone.
• The system retains a permanent archive that links previous owners for historical and compliance purposes.
• The platform may restrict or reverse ownership changes in cases of proven fraud, dispute, or legal request.

4. Temporary access codes

Owners may generate short-lived viewer codes to share a single watch profile with buyers or third parties.

• Codes are valid for a limited time window (e.g., 24 hours from first use).
• Viewers may not copy, scrape, or redistribute protected data beyond what is reasonably necessary to evaluate a purchase.
• The platform may automatically revoke access in case of abuse or suspicious activity.

5. Blockchain records & immutability

Key events such as authentications and ownership transfers are written to a blockchain in an append-only format.

• On-chain records cannot be retroactively edited or deleted.
• In case of errors, corrections may be represented as new events linked to previous ones, not by removing the old records.
• You acknowledge that blockchain transactions may be subject to network conditions and third-party infrastructure.

6. Royalties & tokens

The platform may issue digital tokens as royalties for successful authentications and transfers, shared between authenticators, owners, and the company.

Token features, pricing, and withdrawal mechanisms (if implemented) are subject to change and may depend on regional regulations. Nothing in the platform constitutes financial, investment, or legal advice.

7. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions as the product evolves. Significant changes will be communicated through the app or via email. Continued use of the platform after changes means you accept the updated terms.
